Musings about different types of atheist!
by Seraphim23 ina thought that occurs to me is that if one has the belief that all that is real is only explicable in terms of particles and forces, and that nothing exists that is not one of these, then good and bad doesnt exist either, the same would be true for any concept for that matter.
or perhaps it is only true when reduced to the level of matter and forces, but without the moral force, meaning and purpose that such a materialist only description would entail.
after all, if death is forever, which is materialist view, then what does it matter if a seventy or seven year old enters the grave?

Don´t be superstitious, I dont try to score points. I just asked a question. You didn´t answered it. Let me ask in a different way; Do you concider yourself (as an atheist) to be wise (?) and are you 99.999...% sure that your way of thinking and behaving should be the best way of living and thinking for most of the human beings on this planet?

Cofty, so an "soft atheist" is still an igorant atheist until he reaches the 99.999 (kind of) % in belief (against the existence of God)?

Is it a fair analyze that a "soft atheist" is not sure, but just suspect that God MAY not exists (like 55/45 % in chance)
and a "hard core atheist" is convinced 100% (he "knows") that God does not exists? (100/0 % in chance)

WATCHTOWER IN A PANIC!
by JW GoneBad injws are in need of more kingdom halls in many major u.s. cities.
at this years agm where it is expected that most of the faithful will be able to listen to the meeting (being tied in by video), dont be surprised if the wts 8 gb members take part in a symposium delivering some long winded appeal, petition, plea, proposal, proposition, solicitation or otherwise hit-on the masses for $$$ in order to lighten the burden and overuse that many kingdom halls are experiencing.
an acquaintance from the west coast mentioned to me that in late august thru early september of this year that a number of pow-wows involving close to 5,000 elders from numerous areas (riverside, los angeles, ventura and orange counties) took place to drum up financial support from the 800+ (not sure) congregations in those areas.

Where in the Bible is it written that the simple people of Jehova needs expensive Halls at the cost of Jehovahs flock?

"fortunate are those who have learned to see, in the wild things of nature, something to be loved, something to be wondered at, something to be reverenced, for they have found the key to a never-failing source of recreation and refreshment".

Do you want to show it to someone like a proof? Then I can take a photo of that actual page, if you want.

I don´t know if this question has been up before. Anyway, a reflection, is there a small chance that members from the GB scanning this forum sometimes to get useful tips and ideas from here? Or are they juat occupied with their own business?
